In accordance with ORO guidance, I have an integral role within the Ryanair Safety Management System as the focal point for all safety issues arising from Ground Operations, along with responsibility for the implementation and continued overview of the Ryanair Corporate Safety Strategy from the Ground Operations perspective. I Head up the Ground Operations Training team to ensure all operational and safety policies and procedures are initially trained and then fully adhered to network wide through internal compliance auditing procedures that I initially created, and now oversee and ensure are kept up to date in the ever changing face of the operation.These roles include; • The development of effective and robust safety performance indicators. • Facilitating hazard identification and management. • Measurement of the effectiveness of mitigations. • The communication of safety issues to all frontline staff and management. • Development of safety performance and assurance within ground operations. • Construction and editing of the Ground Operations Manual and Part D. • Accident and Incident investigation. • Deputy Post holder Ground Operations. Within these roles I have gained experience and systems knowledge of the BowTie Methodology and Aviation Risk Management Solutions (ARMs). I have represented Ryanair at both National and European level within such working groups as the EASA ECAST Group, UKCAA BowTie Group and the GHOST Committee, including Charing of subgroups and the IAA GOWG.
