Johnny Hockin is a multimedia storyteller, bridging a background in broadcast television, radio, and digital production with a specialty in content marketing. His video production agency Juniper Island regularly services clients including CBC, Cineplex, Olympus, Red Bull, and the Canadian Media Producers Association. He recently also did a contract as the marketing lead at Connected, a Toronto-based high-growth tech firm building software products for Fortune-100 companies. Johnny produced the Tron fan film "Tron: Destiny”, garnering more than 5 million views online before launching Juniper Island Films to produce his first short film Manifold, which garnered 200,000 views and a Vimeo staff pick. In 2015, Juniper Island went into production on award-winning filmmaker Valerie Buhagiar’s 2nd feature It’s Hard To Be Human, which was released in the spring of 2019. He is also a former on-air host of movies on MTV Canada, interviewing hundreds of filmmakers and stars, from Erykah Badu to Ryan Gosling to Jennifer Lawrence to Viola Davis to George Clooney to Janelle Monae.
