Management. Managed over 250 Fund & Food Drives across the Madison, WI area during the NBC15 Share Your Holidays campaign. These drives raised over $250,000 and 80,000 pounds of food, well over the budgeted goals. Capacity Building. Built capacity by successfully soliciting corporate and foundation gifts from new donors including a $25,000 gift from a family foundation and $78,000 from a medical software company. Additionally, I helped grow and restructure NOURISH, Second Harvest’s young professionals’ group.Fundraising. Raised funds for hunger relief by soliciting over $115,000 in cash and check donations from community partners who hosted a Fund & Food Drive. Managed peer-to-peer donation pages on Second Harvest’s online giving platform Classy as well as fundraised over $170,000 through Virtual Food Drives.Event Planning. Worked on the event planning team to coordinate fundraising events like a radio Request-a-Thon, holiday phone banking event, and food donation Sort-a-Thon. These events required volunteer management, logistics/planning, and coordination with our media sponsor WMTV. Strategic Planning. Participated on Second Harvest’s core values committee as well as worked on our ‘Healthy Foods Strategic Group’ to build a food sourcing and distribution strategy that centers nutrition. CRM Experience. Experience in fundraising, data entry, and portfolio management in CRM software like Blackbaud’s NXT and Raiser’s Edge.Sustainability. Rebuilt Second Harvest’s Fund & Food Drive program and created training materials, guides, templates, and excel workbooks so this program can thrive under a new coordinator. Grant Writing.
