- Purified DNA from mouse tail tip and used PCR and gel electrophoresis to genotype and screen for hundreds of Down syndrome model (Ts65Dn) mice- Cryosectioned OCT embedded mice brains with cryostat- Immunostained Chandelier cells in the neocortex with primary and secondary antibodies- Imaged fluorescently labeled Chandelier cells with confocal microscope- Counted GFP-tagged axon initial segments of Chandelier cells (by density of axon initial segments) with ImageJ (FIJI) to quantify cell density overgrowth in the neocortex of Ts64Dn mice- Presented poster at annual UROP Spring Symposium
