About Johnny Stormonth-Darling

Coming at problems from a number of disciplinary directions, I am equally interested in social and hard technologies which make things better for everyone, from now to the very long-term future. I think this means improving the ways we make collective decisions and rethinking how we measure our societies as much as it requires new technologies which promote sustainability, resilience and material improvements.Particular interests include heterodox economics (driven by a broad definition of prosperity), longtermist governance, adventurous food system technology, nanofabrication for novel energy technologies, or anything else that has a chance of doing a lot of good.Adaptable, broad skillset with depth of experience in nanotechnology, deliberative democracy, biomedical engineering, controlled environment agriculture, social science, music and sound, renewable energy systems, electronics, and a healthy dollop of design and computer programming/modelling.
