Alumnus of Penn State University (BS ChE 1997) and the Colorado School of Mines (MS ChE 1999 & PhD ChE 2003). Performed post doctoral research in the Center for Engineering in Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School with a focus on diagnostic and therapeutic applications for microfluidic devices. Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Wyoming since 2010. My lab's research interests focus upon the development of microfluidic technology for high-throughput cellular analysis. Applications include the design and construction of microenvironments to understand fundamental mechanisms of cellular motility, rapidly screening cell-matrix interactions at the single cell level, and the rational design and evaluation of materials for tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and wound healing. Our work has been supported by a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, an ACS Petroleum Research Fund New Investigator Award, and funding from the the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense.
