About John Obenchain
My greatest love in life - second only to my family - is teaching, engaging students, and helping them learn the things they need to know to lead their most successful life.I’ve taught and designed a lot of courses - both online and in-person. Topics I’ve taught and designed range from Science, to Business Management, to Education, to Communication, to Healthcare. Even with all of my experience however, I know that our great world is ever changing. There is always somewhere new to go, and there is always something new to teach.I’ve been to all seven continents, and coordinated with Institutions across 52 nations. These adventures have allowed me to teach and learn from all different kinds of people from all different cultures. I’ve also had the opportunity of working with Fortune 500 Corporations and Big Ten Universities, where I've been able to put my diverse teaching experience to good use. I love walking into a room full of people - or logging into a session full of attendees - and showing them something they’ve never seen before. I love seeing their expressions light up as they understand something that had never made sense before. I love watching them walk out of the room - or log out of the session - knowing more than when they arrived.I love knowing that I’ve helped them in some small - or maybe not so small - way.I love designing learning. I love taking a topic apart into its basic pieces, then carefully reassembling those pieces so that they make the most sense possible to those who need to learn. I love adding a dash of creativity to my courses, showing the topics to my students in ways they may not have seen before, in ways that make my learners more likely to look, to listen, to understand, and to remember.I love learning. I love walking through this great world of ours with my eyes and ears wide open so that I can know as much as it is possible to know - so that I can teach my students as much as it is possible to teach.
