Responsible for the design and manufacture of IVF products for voice of customer evaluations. Established product data management system for capturing prototype information. Creation and management of device master record (DMR) and device history record (DHR) for company IVF products. Established prototype manufacturing line compliant with good manufacturing practices (GMP). Finite element modeling of product use case to understand product use dynamics. Other responsibilities included IP generation, patent drafting, scientific journal writing, materials characterisation of micro 3d-printed structures and creating both physical and digital marketing assets.

My primary role was to build and validate finite element models for satellite structures. Aid the mechanical engineering team in design and manufacture of satellite components. Research novel methods of satellite component manufacture such as metal 3D-printing using Aluminium alloys. Aiding manufacturing team in both validating and qualifying a 3D-Systems DMP350 SLS printer.

Anatomical engineer responsible for segmentation of MRI/CT imaging data, and creation of surgical training models for spinal surgery using 3D-printing. Worked closely with surgeons to understand and achieve product requirements. Researched and developed methods of printing plastic structures to achieve the equivalent mechanical properties surgical tools would encounter during use in surgery.

As a Senior Engineer at Johnson & Johnson 3D-Printing, I was a part of a team of engineers developing 3D-printed orthopedic implant technologies. I have been involved in every aspect of the product process development: CAD & 3D-printing file generation, post-processing (post print removal and heat treatment), in-processing monitoring (during printing, post printing, and finished product), part measurement (non-contact measurment and Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM)). All products developed we successfully tested in surgeon design meetings. During COVID-19, our team successful delivered 3 projects, while working remotely.

Research associate for European Union based project BIOCUDET. The project involved the investigation of biomarkers for dry-eye disease using ultra-fast PCR (Polymerease chain reaction) technology. I was in charge of our team of scientists and engineers in the development of the PCR platform. During my time here, the technology was successfully demonstrated at high profile conferences such as Eurosatory. The technology has been successfully transferred to a new spin-off company - BFORCURE.

Product development engineer of discrete semiconductor components for the Microsemi discrete product group - manufacturing and qualification of current and future product. This was completed to US military testing, Automotive Electronic Component (AEC) and JEDEC standards. I was responsible for technical support of Microsemi's commercial discrete products for customers and resolving technical manufacturing issues, ensuring product manufacturing was on schedule.

I was a postgraduate student pursuing a doctorate in mechanical engineering. I specialised in heat transfer and fluid mechanics of microscale flows and small scale fluid structure interactions. This involved designing several technical experiments, which built upon existing literature, expanding current knowledge of this discipline. I explored contemporary manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing, for manufacture of microchannel arrays and structures for microscale cooling. My thesis was tailored to telecommunication applications, where microscale channels and structures would be embedded in transmitter and receiving devices increase their information output by addressing thermal limitations. This research was completed under the CONNECT research group - Ireland's largest telecommunications research group.

I was a teaching assistant for several engineering modules during my Ph.D. Studies, which included Matlab, Introduction to Engineering 2, Applied mechanics, Heat transfer.

I was a product development engineer outdoor telecommunications equipment. This involved designing a new heat-sink design for urban applications by using numerical and experimental methods to develop a new product. In parallel, I was conducting research for my doctoral studies at the University of Limerick

My Role was to hold tutorials in applied mechanics for second year engineering students.I took on this position during my final year studies in mechanical engineering.

My responsibilities in this role were to assist other manufacturing engineers with the maintenance and operations of all production lines within the plant. I became familiar with working in a clean room environment. Additional responsibilities included implementing a 5S ethos with in the workshop for the team.
