Manage the strategy development & implementation of suppliers, cost control, and sourcing of complex medical instruments. I’m currently working on a comprehensive supply base reduction activity that will coincide with the supplier strategies. I’m also currently leading the global activity for the rollout and training of our new version of I-sourcing & I-project tools to our procurement teams in U.S., Europe, and China.

Managed $203 million of direct material purchases for metals team – commodities include wire, tubes, electronic lumbar controls, springs, stampings & welded assemblies, and raw materials. • Lead Mexico cost reduction team to improve cost structure on the GMT166 program – through localization efforts and negotiations the direct material purchases were reduced by $1.8MM.• Achieved 3.4% in total cost reduction for 2010 Fiscal year. Currently have $1.6 million in PO to PO reduction commitments. Active projects of $1.3M in resourcing and $1.7M of localization.• Establishment of guidelines for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) from procurement approach coordinating key activities of the rollout plan with Supply Chain leadership. • Lead for implementation of global supplier scorecard to measure supplier performance in delivery, quality, cost performance, and overall management of suppliers.

Strategically develop and maintain global supply chain for the Plastics Components Group for all Honda North American facilities. Manage approximately $122 million of direct material purchases of front grille assemblies, rear garnish components, and exterior paint & chrome components. Development of long-term strategy for chrome plated components.

Primarily responsible for entire plastic molding commodity $38 million—including global procurement (US, Japan, Mexico, China). Core responsibilities included RFQ, analysis, negotiation, award, and program management through product maturation. Also responsible for overseeing tool development, supporting SQA in audits, and arranging for all sample orders to meet trial schedules.
