Employees increased from 60 at five locations to 700 at 90 markets with revenues growing over 20X. Recruited, trained and motivated a national sales team in the U.S. and abroad. As President-Chief Executive Officer-Director, spearheaded the strategically advantageous acquisition of Bosley by Aderans of Japan, the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of hair systems. The acquisition resulted in access to new capital and markets, including five centers in Japan. Completed global due diligence for expansion into Asian, European, Middle Eastern, Latin American and Canadian markets.Devised the business master plan to migrate all direct-response advertising from print to television, Internet and social networking. Created a fully integrated IT system and 24/7 call center with capability to measure all marketing investments based upon consumer response, database mining and sales capture.Finalized licensing agreements to feature Bosley hair care products at over 50,000 salons in North America. Continually adapted business model and marketing approach to changing economy, consumer preference and new technology. Outsourcing of call center to the Philippines has resulted in significant cost savings while maintaining quality of customer care. Acquired the chief competitor, MHR on behalf of Aderans, affording the Japanese company complete U.S. market domination. Served as President, CEO and Director for the first year.Established Aderans Research Institute, Inc. as a research and development arm of Bosley, focusing on follicular regenerative medicine with locations in Philadelphia and Atlanta. Developed a team of scientists, engineers and administrators. Oversaw pre-clinical trials, Phase I and Phase II FDA clinical trials, achieving two critical approvals.
