Managed a store in Pickering from 2002 to 2004 before being promoted to a higher-volume, higher-profile location in Toronto. Led a team of 10 including 1 assistant store manager.• Easily surpassed sales expectations in both stores every year, averaging 105% of the sales plan. Drove the Toronto location to a double-digit increase over LY in 2005.• Appointed acting district manager by the VP for 7 months in 2005. Oversaw 5 additional stores while still managing the Toronto location. Increased district-wide sales 5% during that period.• Selected by the president to support the rollout of a new POS system to all 102 stores in Canada. Trained all managers and associates; partnered with the developer to include gift card functionality within the system.• Developed and mentored the assistant store manager who took over as store manager in Pickering.
