Worked as part of the EPCM team, managing the contractors responsible for the civil works related to the expansion of the concentrator at the Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia.This also has included management of the EPCM civils construction team, and coaching and mentoring the contractors new to this environment.

Key responsibilities:- Developing asset management strategy for mobile manufacturing fleet, of 193 active units worldwide, with a focus on formalizing the unit design to conform with regulatory requirements, standardizing maintenance procedures and planning for fleet renewal.- Management of the fabrication of new MMU units for both business expansion and renewal. The annual budget for these programs ranges from $1-$5m USD- Managing the maintenance team for mobile manufacturing fleet, of 107 active units, in South Africa and Lesotho, which has included developing new structures to meet the fleet's needs.- Management of the central store in Middleburg South Africa, which serves the surface and underground operations teams across Africa and the maintenance and fabrication teams in South Africa.

• Responsible for all aspects of the recovery program initiated at the mine following the structural failure of a gantry conveyor structure. This involves managing the safe removal of the failed structure, the construction of a temporary conveyance system, design and construction of the permanent structure• Managing the root cause analysis of the failure and providing technical expertise with regard to the insurance claim• Providing technical expertise with the development of emergency decanting facilities following a decant failure on the tailings facility• Assisted in improving productivity at the secondary crushing plant by identify the fundamental personnel issues at the plant

The equipment was utilized for crushing, conveying, milling, flotation, magnetite separation, concentrate filtration, winnowing, and tailings disposal.Some key initiatives included:• Managing a robust safety and employee behavior program and the introduction of process safety principles• Developing maintenance plans and structures in centralizing the electrical and mechanical teams in the processing division.
