I enjoyed holding the designer vision and calling upon the teacher in me to methodically collaborate with the teams on the product install/ paint application and ensure the original design was satisfied. In this manner, I grew the company’s premium paint category to the point where few designers now bat an eye when paying $200 for a gallon of paint. They understand they’re paying for the service aspect and expertise. In my work in the field with Scuffmaster’s distributor sales team, I lead joint sales and product presentations, taught CEU seminars and trained and coached the sales force to help them better advise their clients on the appropriate product for their projects.On the technical side, I ensured our paints were installed properly by working directly with paint sub-contractors, both in person and over the phone. Additionally, I developed concise application instructions, starred in application videos and worked with the distributor sales team on the application basics to help them identify potential problems in advance.
