“I was born in Manila, Philippines. My family immigrated to Moorestown, New Jersey in the early 1990s to pursue the American Dream. Over the past 17 years as a personal trainer and a gym owner, I’ve trained clients and helped countless amounts of people change their lives. As an entrepreneur, I was able to cultivate a mindset of not being too stuck on how the world traditionally functions. My inexperience and out-of-box thinking lead to my innovation. That’s how I approached my idea. I recognized the challenges faced by most people with regard to owning, using and storing fitness equipment at home – and set out to improve upon the traditional treadmill. Not everyone can always get to a gym, and traditional fitness equipment often is large and bulky and not conducive to home use. My goal was to innovate so that anyone could use the treadmill regardless of space limitations. I wanted to create the lightest motorized treadmill on the planet, but also was truly portable and could be folded up and stored anywhere without sacrificing safety, power or quality. The U will change the way treadmills are used in households, offices and elsewhere across the country and throughout the world.
