I was initially recruited sell Seprafilm, a revolutionary product designed to reduce the incidence, extent and severity of post-operative adhesion formation following abdominal and pelvic surgery, and accepted the position of territory manager since it did not involve travel or require relocation. However, I was promoted to Regional Sales Manager within the same year.I was a Regional Sales Manager with Genzyme for almost 14 years. During my tenure, I managed and led anywhere between seven and ten sales professionals across multiple states selling primarily to Gynecological and Surgical Oncologists, Trauma, Colon and Rectal, General and Gynecological Surgeons. In the process, I earned (5) ‘Distinguished’ and (4) ‘Exceeds’ annual performance evaluations. I also won multiple Presidents Club Award Trips including a Caribbean Cruise as well as a trip to the Cayman Islands.
