Responsible for marketing, communications, and overall community outreach and engagement across WiscNet's 500+ member organizations, including higher education institutions, K12 school districts, municipalities, libraries, hospitals, and related organizations. I collaborate closely with our Chief Executive Officer in planning and supporting the WiscNet Board of Directors' activities throughout the year, from agenda planning to set the Organization's strategic direction. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association (WEMTA) and on the Wisconsin State Superintendent's Digital Learning Advisory Council, providing leadership to both organizations on issues around K12 educational technology. I frequently present on a variety of educational technology topics at conferences, including SLATE (K12 administrators), WEMTA (K12 library & technology), Brainstorm (K20 technology), and Wisconsin Library Association (WLA). I have been intricately involved in the organization of WiscNet Connection’s, an annual event consisting of 25+ large and small group sessions, drawing 300+ WiscNet members together each year. Between 2010 and 2012, I served as WiscNet's liaison to the University of Wisconsin - Extension's "Building Community Capacity Through Broadband" grant project. I worked with the Sustainable Broadband Adoption team, advising best practices in developing Community Area Networks, having worked closely with leaders throughout various Wisconsin communities in broadband adoption.

Fennimore, Wisconsin

Provided leadership, consulting, and educational technology professional development in the Instructional Technology Support Systems division of CESA #3. CESA #3 serves regional K12 school districts by providing technology planning, professional development in large groups, small groups, and-on-one settings, and technology project management for major federal grant initiatives. During this time, CESA #3 was a successful recipient of Title IID "Enhancing Education Through Technology" grant projects ($75,000 in 2006, $100,000 in 2007). My personal and professional mission while working with CESA #3 was to practice building communities through exciting teachers about personal learning with Web 2.0 technologies.

Led the district's technology program with 2200 workstations in nine buildings, supporting 4850+ students and 600+ faculty and staff. Managed educational and technical project planning, budgeting, technology integration, and program assessment. Designed and implemented professional development programs for district staff in basic skills, technology integration, and curriculum and assessment design.

Moose Lake, Minnesota

Created and implemented a three year district-wide technology plan, managed a $600,000 technology referendum, created and managed district technology budgets, purchased hardware and software, implemented technology-related professional development programs, acted as the district’s federal fund (E-rate) coordinator for technology, wrote and received grants for technology, implemented a K12 student record keeping system, and served on a variety of district-level committees.
