Adapted fundraising strategies to achieve global reach across Asia, the Gulf, UK, Europe, and North America. Led a small team and collaborated with colleagues across university and hospitals to generate results. Generated new sources of giving, and implemented effective stewardship strategies. Led most successful fundraising results in 25 years, generated $7.5M+ in 2015/2016 from donors in UK, USA and Asia. Managed 4-person staff. Established effective Development Board of alumni volunteers stewardship program. Expanded communications using video and monthly e-bulletins. Secured support for TV documentary about the College and getting student stories out to alumni, donors and supporters. Updated and improved database management of donor information and alumni contacts. Professionalized research and, expanded and qualified major gift pipeline while increasing planned gifts from $5M to $12M. Accomplishments: ● Achieved 17:1 return on investment. ● Generated over $7.5M, with $6.2M received in cash. ● Increased number of Benefactor Fellows from 1 to 5, giving $1.2M each.● Launched Corporate Partnership Program, Enterprise Competition for students and Research Prize competition. ● Managed 22 events, attracted 1,250 alumni to college events worldwide.

Projects:● Raised $2M in funding for establishing applied research project for public/private partnership between University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and Boeing, and for establishing Vancouver Institute for Visual Analytics (2007-09).● New business development for visual analytics company, Future Point Systems (2008-10).● Collaborated with small team developing social media web-based decision-making application (2011-13).● Developed marketing strategies for Bernard Hodes Group and and intranet portal to streamline proposals for bids (2000-01).● Laid foundational groundwork for UNESCO and Council of Europe’s Directorate of Strategic Planning for launching private sector fundraising opportunities (2002-03).● Developed a new business initiative to attract foreign patients for private hospital Clinique Ambroise Paré, in Paris, France (2003-04).

Led and directed comprehensive fundraising program of individual, corporate, foundation and government major gifts during a major transition. Achieved successful funding results on interdisciplinary education initiatives. Provided strategic development input to fund research, capital projects and academic endowments to support several initiatives including Asian research, medical research, oceanic research, transportation, technology and international projects.Accomplishments: ● Generated $22M over 2 years.

Built Faculty fundraising initiative, executing effective fundraising strategies, generating $22M for new buildings, endowed academic chairs, scholarships and funding for First Nations/Aboriginal symposium and curriculum. Funding sources included high net-worth individuals, corporations, foundations, federal and provincial governments. Accomplishments: ● Secured $22M and $30M in funds for building new Forest Sciences Center and National Center for Advanced Wood Processing.● Increased faculty endowment by 30%.
