I am Financial Risks Director of insurance brokers Berkeley Insurance Group (part of Brown & Brown Europe) where I lead on Cyber, Professional Indemnity and other specialist insurances.My expertise focuses on the intersection of the financial, legal and regulatory risks that businesses face. This translates into useful, practical advice on risk mitigation and insurance for my clients. The insurability of contract terms is often overlooked by businesses, yet this is a regular, important feature of my advice.To support my clients further, I can provide their staff with in-house training on a variety of risk awareness topics. In recent years, my expertise expanded to include the rapidly-developing area of cyber risk and the specialised area of insurance that has emerged in response. As a market leader in Cyber insurance, I was asked to be a founding member and Chairman of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association’s Cyber Focus Group. This committee represents the interests of the UK’s insurance brokers and is in contact with the government, National Cyber Security Centre (I am a member of NCSC’s Insurance Trust group) and other interested parties.I am a regular speaker at Cyber conferences and business networking events.In 2019 Berkeley Insurance Group was awarded Cyber Broker of the Year by Insurance Age.
