About John Philip

I work in Health Informatics in DigITs where I have a few roles:As Informatics Lead for Research Support for MSKCC, I work closely with the CHIO and CRIO, to lead several efforts:1. Implementation of a BioSpecimen LIMS -- storage of sample and its metadata for all large scale research projects including integration with clinical workflows.2. Implementation of a concept driven cohort builder and management tool. Our first goal is automate as many clinical trials as possible while preparing for Epic migration. We use Palantir to provide concept driven data connections between existing databases (clinical and research) and the new Epic data systems. 3. Self-service research data access for researchers and integrations into research tools like cBioPortal.4. Software infrastructure to support full migration to digital pathology clinical signouts. This also includes support research access to digital path images and its metadata. Current integration include support for AI models into clinical workflows through digital path viewers.5. Generation of high quality clinical text extraction through NLP and LLMs. I lead a curation team that generates training data for NLP and LLM model builds. This manually generated data is then given to AI teams to build models. We then validate and QC the output of the models to ensure that only high quality models go into production.
