This position expands upon my previous role as Product Lead for Research Support. Now I am asked to take on a more strategic perspective as I work with our Researchers to assess their infrastructure needs, gather requirements, assess solution alternatives and create a successful business case. This work requires driving solutions to be in alignment with Enterprise Strategy and Enterprise Architecture. Since I am accountable for the outcomes, I will be working closely with my Product, Technology and Research (Clinical, Translational and Basic Science) colleagues to ensure the work delivers value as promised.

I lead the Research Support Platform in MSKCC, providing Product Development and Informatics Support for MSKCC's Enterprise Research needs. Our current platform has several teams working on enhancing MSKCC's research capabilities. These teams work on a variety of projects, including data capture, terminology/data management, digital pathology infrastructure, AI/ML tools for data extraction, curation assistance tools, clinical trials support, and data governance support. Our collaborations include work with basic, translational and clinical researchers. Our product management team looks to work with UX researchers to create products that enable intuitive, robust workflows. We integrate tightly with development teams to build in a rapid, iterative cycle.

As Director of Translational Informatics, I manage a few teams: Pathology Informatics, Software Development Team in Health Informatics, Data Curation team, Knowledge Management (Terminology/Ontology) and Research Health Informatics. As a combined effort, we work towards getting research data into clinical workflows and vice versa. We also look to enable machine learning for data abstraction purposes, primarily looking to operationalize NLP/ML to assist manual curation. Our ultimate goal is to help provide structure to much of the free text in the EHR!

Health Informatics Department: I work with the Precision Oncology team which includes the Center for Molecular Oncology, MSK-IMPACT team and the various HIS infrastructure of MSKCC, including medical record and Clinical Information Systems. My main objective is to present the results of genome sequencing to the clinician treating the patient in a easy to use and understandable way. Other projects include Integrated Clinical Reporting and Digital Pathology.

Proteomics Core Facility. Designed and implemented informatics pipelines for automated Proteomics Data Analysis using Python and Filemaker.Specialties: I have worked on instrumentation control for various Newport controllers and a custom built protein sequencer. I have expertise in protein chemistry and mass spectrometry. Currently my projects are in Clinical Proteomics. I am wrapping up a Peptidomics project and now moving on to data analysis using SILAC labeling in conjunction with an Orbitrap mass spec.

Proteomics Core Facility: Wrote Filemaker Database for Project Tracking of all Core Facility work. Database automates process of moving data from mass spectrometers to project folders on fileservers. Database tracks all analyses performed by the Facility staff.

Proteomics Core Facility: Project Leader to establish novel pipeline for serum peptidomics analysis. Coordinated work and communication between biologists, statisticians and programmers. Resultinganalysis workflow was used to analyze various datasets, leading to multiple peerreviewedpublications.• Project lead to automate the novel pipeline in MATLAB software. Designed GUI andmanaged the programming team using Agile methods. Debugged MATLAB code tospeed up delivery of final product. Project led to first author paper in Nature Protocols.• Helped write $5 million NCI Center grant for Proteomics Technology Assessment.
