In the marketing office at Aesys — a developer of communication systems and display technologies for bus, railway, and highway transportation — my time was split between communications and research and intelligence. I managed a refresh of the company identity including messaging, website, brochures, product sheets, and related collateral. I further developed various types of graphic and written marketing content including search engine optimized (SEO) web text, trade journal articles, advertisements, project case studies, and social media stories. I was also part of the international trade show development team.On the research and intelligence side, I developed strategies, analytics, and intelligence for growth in new geographic markets for all divisions. While a consultant at Virtcom, I helped companies align their diversity and inclusion plan with their business strategies to maximize bottom-line impact. This work included completing research and analytic projects, developing presentations, and maintaining relationships with key Fortune 500 clients. In addition, I was the lead internal project manager for the World Diversity Leadership Summit, a 400+ attendee conference focused on the business impact of global demographic change, as well as related events. Locations included both the United States and European Union, as well as venues like the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.
