Medical imaging technologies have given us a wonderful opportunity to peer inside the human body. New advances allow us to see not only the structure, but also the functioning and properties of tissues. These technologies are allowing clinicians to make more informed decisions, better monitor progress, and even guide treatments in real time. I'm interested in the details that remain unseen - in using the information from image acquisition to produce new measurements of tissue properties. By leveraging a strong background in medical ultrasound, biomechanics, and computational modeling, I hope to contribute to new methods that provide clinicians with more useful quantitative images to guide treatments and improve decision making.
