Responsible for designing and project managing the national programme of works for multiple homes owned by large social housing clients (around 100,000 homes). Designed and project managed the development of a database driven software suite that effectively monitored all client work in progress, tracking the carbon footprint of all elements of the supply chain as well as real time measurement of the carbon savings and the financial savings delivered to them under the decent homes standard.

I was employed to cover the holidays of landlords and managers of public houses throughout the Country. This usually meant travelling alone and spending a week or two in a public house in an unfamiliar area. Responsible for ensuring the house staff carry out their job properly and customers are kept happy. Bonuses were usually paid if takings were improved while I was there. I almost always improved takings over the relief period.

Due to my success as a Kirby dealer I was asked if I wanted to rejoin the company as a salesman.

The promise of high commission led me to train to be a door to door salesman selling an £836 vacuum cleaner. I also wrote the telephone script and trained the tele-marketers. Although this was a success the company moved out of my area forcing me to seek pastures new.
