John Polis is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Star Mountain Capital, a specialized investment firm which provides: (i) Strategic Debt & Equity Capital to private businesses that have at least $15 million of revenue and under $50 million of EBITDA and (ii) Liquidity Solutions to investors and fund managers (“Secondaries”) including purchasing LP interests and direct investments in lower middle-market private credit and private equity funds in addition to providing fund managers with NAV loans. Star Mountain’s differentiated business model includes a custom-built media and technology platform bringing proven, large market resources to smaller businesses as a value-added lender and investment partner. Mr. Polis began working with Star Mountain in late 2014 in a Senior Technology Advisor capacity and joined the team full-time in January, 2016.Mr. Polis is also a Board Member and Senior Advisor of Visionary Access Inc., an Investor and Business Development platform for SMBs. Mr. Polis served as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer for Visionary prior to taking a board seat and moving into a senior advisory role.Prior to joining Visionary Mr. Polis was both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Guidepoint Global, a primary research firm and expert network serving the world's leading Institutional Investors, Private Equity Firms, Consulting Organizations, and Corporations.Prior to Guidepoint Mr. Polis was both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer for Coleman Research Group, also a primary research firm and expert network.Earlier in his career Mr. Polis was co-founder of Dotcom Distribution and the Chief Information Officer for the GoodTimes Entertainment family of companies.Mr. Polis has a BA in Economics from NYU, an MBA in Management from Wagner College and is currently an adjunct at NYU School of Professional Studies where he teaches graduate level courses in CRM and Integrated Marketing Database Modeling and Management.
