Tutored the Palomar College Introduction to GIS and GIS Database Management class. Assisted students with lab assignments working with GIS analysis and cartographic techniques in ArcGIS Pro during class time and office hours. Co-wrote “Snapshot of Drone Education in the US” for Directions Magazine with Professor Wing Cheung. The article highlights the themes and characteristics of UAS/UAV/Drone related programs in colleges across the nation. This included collecting the data and creating a web map of the schools in ArcGIS Online. Link to article: https://www.directionsmag.com/article/9904 . This project and article led to creating an interactive web app using ArcGIS Online in collaboration with the FAA. The web app is now used and maintained by the GeoTech Center.

Involved in selecting optimal sensor settings and flight paths to conduct vegetation mapping, automated roof inspections, and custom UAS flight testing using DJI P4 Multispectral, Mavic 2 Pro, and custom build Pixhawk drones. Utilized ESRI ModelBuilder to automate large processes and organized multispectral raster images to meet client needs. Created and added UAS derived basemaps to UgCS Mission Planner for improved accuracy in future flight missions. Assisted with technical writing and edits in compliance documents.

Created multiple GIS web applications used on the company website that contributed to an improved purchasing experience for customers interested in buying rain barrels from the Solana Center. Worked closely with the Zero Waste Project Lead & Community Engagement Coordinator to achieve the ideas and vision for the GIS based applications.

Learning how to make a proper cup of tea for supervisors was critical during my semester abroad in London, England. Besides making the perfect cup of tea, primary tasks included assisting the Graduate Recruitment team in the execution of recruitment and hiring events. I processed confidential paperwork of candidates and new hire, and updated job posting on over 80 university websites throughout England. Also, I created a presentation based on research that compared graduate recruitment methods in the IT Services sector.
