Worked with HR team to support a 300+ person distribution center- Primary recruiter that included sourcing candidates, conducting an average of 15+ phone interviews per week, in-person interviews, and input on final hiring decision- Led new hire onboarding which entailed conducting orientation, completion of new hiredocuments, and setting up drug screens- Built strong relationships with associates and management to help foster company culture- Established standard operating procedure (SOP) guides for 6 key HR tasks including how to extend an offer, perform a drug screen, etc.- Resolved general questions from staff about benefits, PTO, FMLA, payroll, and company policies- Other duties as assigned

Built an HR department from scratch and bridged the staff and company as the HR department of one. During tenure the staff doubled from 40 to 80 employees and the company expanded from 4 to 7 Midwestern states. Major areas of focus included:- Assisted executive team with development and implementation of strategic goals- Handled all HR facets for an acquisition (20-person company). Included merging handbooks and setting strategic goals for both companies- Facilitated hiring and recruiting process of numerous entry and mid-level positions- Managed company-wide benefits and relationships with insurance brokers. 0% increase in insurance costs over two consecutive enrollment periods- Chose and rolled out company’s first ever HRIS in collaboration with finance department- Conducted and resolved workplace investigations including termination. Liaison with legalentities for workers compensation and employee relations issues- Planned and led logistics for two company-wide events averaging 80 people. This included planning for lodging, transportation, food, schedule, event space, and entertainment
