John P. Vidican grew up in the construction industry alongside his father who was a self-employed general contractor and land developer in southeast Michigan. He learned a great deal from his father who taught him many different aspects of the industry and business. John was first involved with land surveying at 14 and since then he was always interested in the field of land surveying and further pursued it as his career. After high school, John continued his education at Ferris State University to earn his Surveying & Engineering degree. He spent over four years at Ferris learning all the diverse facets of land surveying and engineering. Once graduated he began his career in Grand Blanc, MI working for a smaller firm performing boundary, topographic and construction layout surveying services for the housing boom. He then moved back closer to family and worked for a company that performed a majority of municipal construction projects for a few years. A better career opportunity presented itself and he later went to work for a larger firm where he spent a good part of his career performing a wide range of surveying services for various construction and land development projects. While working there, he studied and obtained his Michigan Professional Land Surveyor’s License. When the recession hit around 2008 he moved to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to continue his career. While living in Pennsylvania, John furthered his professional career by obtaining his Ohio Professional Land Surveyor’s License and as a project manager he has learned a lot about the strong demands within the oil and gas industry. John has worked very hard towards his reputation for providing quality work, good communication, timely service, and keeping clients happy which has resulted in developing many good relationships in the area and in the oil and gas industry.In 2016 John moved back to his home state in Michigan to pursue new work with Spalding DeDecker in the growing economy.
