Startup for person-centered mobility providing high quality, cost effective special transportation for older adults and people with disabilities. Incorporated company as a Minnesota General Benefit Corporation and assembled team of entrepreneurs and board of advisors to develop and execute a dynamic business plan, marketing, operations, fundraising and growth strategy.Raised over $1.1 M in early stage capital and grants to launch service in Minnesota and became the transportation provider of choice to more than 25 senior living communities serving over 10,000 personalized rides annually. Lead a department with over 50 employees and an annual operating budget of over $20 million. The department administers over $80 million in federal, state and local programs for housing, economic development, community planning and transit.

Responsible for developing the firm’s North American strategy for pursing mobility projects in the areas of managed lanes, road pricing, and public private partnerships. Regional manager with supervisory, budget, project oversight and business development responsibilities for the 11-state western region. Established new client portfolios with over $15 M of multi-year contracts based in key western US growth markets, including San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Denver.Strategic advisor supporting over $100 M of client contracts in established markets in Florida, Texas and North Carolina and led the Managed Lanes Team to pursue and deliver over 20 projects throughout the US. Managed a team of over a dozen contractors to develop and deliver a $50 M state-of-the-art, all-electronic tolling system for the San Francisco Bay Area Metropolitan Transportation Commission.

Provided policy guidance and strategic direction for the Twin Cities' regional planning agency serving the seven-county metropolitan area and providing essential services to the region. The Council works with local communities to provide these critical services:•operates the region's largest bus system•collects and treats wastewater•engages communities and the public in planning for future growth•provides forecasts of the region's population and household growth•provides affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income individuals and families•provides planning, acquisitions and funding for a regional system of parks and trails•provides a framework for decisions and implementation for regional systems including aviation, transportation, parks and open space, water quality and water management.

Managed and delivered complex transportation planning, corridor studies, public involvement campaigns, congestion management, and road pricing projects for state and local agencies. Lead a $3 million public outreach campaign for the I-85 Express Lanes, the Atlanta region's first High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes project. Coordinated, facilitated, and helped to develop Minnesota's urban congestion proposal to USDOT, which secured $130 million in federal funding for the I-35W MnPASS project. The proposal included innovative transit technologies, active traffic management, telecommuting, and implementation of the first priced dynamic shoulder lanes in the US.Project manager for Twin Cities Congestion Management Strategic Plan Phase I which developed a strategic planning process that resulted in a prioritized list of low cost-high benefit projects to better manage congestion in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.Project manager for eWorkPlace, a $3.4 million state funded telework initiative to promote and accelerate the adoption of telecommuting by Twin Cities employers with the intent to increase workplace productivity, enhance employee flexibility and reduce peak period travel in the region. Consultant facilitator for FHWA, AASHTO, and NCHRP sponsored international tour of road pricing projects in Europe and Asia.

Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing strategy and work plan for a system of managed lanes in the Twin Cities. Led a cross-functional team of planners, engineers, and legal consultants to structure the procurement of MnPASS managed lanes in Minnesota. Directly managed and administered a consultant budget of over $1 million. Developed policy recommendations and long-range planning for the MnPASS system. Coordinated and supported the MnPASS System Study Steering Committee, comprised of local, regional, and state officials. Developed and maintained collaborative working relationships with key local, state, and federal partners. Organized and led presentations, workshops, and meetings with Commissioner's Staff, internal staff, and external stakeholders.
