As a real estate professional with an MBA and civil engineering degree, my career focus is project execution, and my expertise is managing the process of design and construction. I have held senior positions with several private developers during my 42-year career in real estate and construction. During the past thirteen years my specialty has been development of lab/office buildings for life science users. I am the partner in charge of design and construction in the real estate investment firm Longfellow Real Estate Partners, LLC. My role is management of due diligence for acquisitions and project execution for development activities. Prior to Longfellow I served as Senior Vice President of Construction for Forest City Enterprises Science and Technology Group. In that capacity I was responsible for all construction activities carried out by the group including the redevelopment of the former G. D. Searle Pharmaceutical campus in Skokie, Illinois as the new Illinois Science and Technology Park. Prior to that, I was Director of Design and Construction with the life science real estate developer Lyme Properties in Cambridge, Massachusetts where I oversaw construction of four projects totaling one million square feet and the redevelopment of a 10-acre brownfield site. My career experience includes both construction management and development project management. I have spent an equal number of years working for both general contractors and owner/developers.
