My design career began over 35 years ago, when I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design (product design concentration) at the University of Notre Dame. Since that time, I have done product design, engineering support, technical writing, and teaching. I worked as a freelance graphics designer while still a student at Notre Dame.I've worked in multiple industries (for both OEMs and design firms), and from concept design through mature product support. I've been both a direct employee and a contractor. I have begun work on a BSME and a MPM, and hold several certifications. I've worked on award-winning, patented designs, and have published a couple of items. I've also been a full and active member of IDSA, and my colleagues have enthusiastically endorsed me both for my work and my personal integrity.My philosophy as a product designer is to improve every day, always add value, and never stop learning. My specialties include Industrial Design, TeamCenter/NX, SolidWorks, Photoshop, engineering support, and tech writing. I have an aptitude for computers, and a passion for Computer-Aided Industrial Design. I have excellent communication skills, and am uniquely qualified as a CAD designer, as I hold a degree in Industrial Design.
