As a Wake County Tax Agent, I coordinate community outreach efforts in order to expand participation in the tax relief programs offered by the state of North Carolina. Working alongside the county's Communications Department, we utilize social media, print media and in-person events to educate the public about the available of tax relief programs. Through these innovative efforts, we have increased participation year-over-year since I came onboard in 2018 and are projected to have our highest participation rate to date in 2021. In 2020 I was awarded the department's prestigious Customer Service Excellence award for my work.Along with tax relief outreach, my duties with the Tax Administration include new construction data entry, building permit verification and deed transfers along with researching deceased taxpayer's estate files in order to ensure property tax record accuracy.
