Senior Production Engineer
Technical and economic evaluation of several mature oil and gas properties for production and exploitation potential in the West Provost region of Alberta. Accomplishments included:• Identified an opportunity to shut down one of two operating gas plants resulting in an operating cost saving of approximately $ 2.0 M / year. The two plants were operating at low capacity with resultant high operating expenses. By putting the entire gas plant throughput through one of the interconnected gas plants, the overall expense and cost per unit volume were decreased by approximately 40 %.• Developed a go-forward plan for a money losing oil unit operated by Husky. This involved drilling some additional wells in the unit, changing some high cost operating practices, and then the selling of Husky’s interest in the unit.• As development engineer, planned, executed, and evaluated a 15 well drilling program (Directional Mannville wells and horizontal multi-stage frac Viking wells).
