I bring together experience from several unique worlds, in service of my clients. I have 36 years in the first responder world of San Francisco, leading teams to respond to emergency situations, assessing the situation quickly and determining the correct course of action, also leading a support line for first responders coaching for their wellbeing in this intense line of work.I am known for my integrity and commitment to supporting the men and women both in the intensity of the response to an emergency call and in the ongoing development and aftermath of the important and intense work they do. I bring all of this to my work with Executives and Rising Leaders. In addition, I have a deep well of compassion and serenity that comes from my own journey of healing and growth. This allows me to offer my clients a calm presence in the midst of challenges and change. And finally, I am a student of human behavior and organization development, always learning new ways to support people in optimizing their performance and creating more satisfying work lives. In sum, I bring a wealth of experience, compassion, wisdom, and skills to my coaching practice, all in service of helping my clients reach their full potential as leaders.

The Conscious Leadership Guild is an invitation-only group focused on creating more conscious leadership throughout the world. Members come together to share their wisdom, processes and knowledge with one another.

As the leader of the Peer Support Team for San Francisco's San Francisco 1,600-member Fire Department, my responsibilities included:* Responding to hundreds of calls for assistance for all active duty members and retired members of SFFD* Facilitating critical incident stress debriefings and defusings for all major critical incidents* Referring members and their families to outside professional counseling as needed* Representing the stress unit in inter-department meetings. My experiences with the San Francisco Fire Department Stress Unit are the most rewarding of my career. During my tenure I receive four awards my service, including Firefighter of the Year from San Francisco's Rotary Club in 2016.

In 1997, the Department of Public Health merged with the SF Fire Department. At the time I had the temporary role of Rescue Paramedic Captain, and played an integral part in the merger, implementing policies and procedures made by the Command Staff. After considerable training, I met the requirements for being a firefighter and received regular assignments both to serve as an Engine Paramedic, as well as a Rescue Captain.

As a Paramedic, I responded to 911 calls for emergency medical assistance, assessed patient's condition and determined a course of treatment, and provided advanced life support treatment to sick or injured patients. Between 1985 - 1997 I held a few supervisory roles. As the lead medical person on critical incidents, I had the authority to make key medical decisions for patients.
