I have been involved in transportation my entire adult life and have always enjoyed the challenges it presents. I joined Aim NationaLease back in 1993 and in January of 2003 I was promoted to my current role of CIO. My experience in the transportation began back in 1983 when I joined a small software company and wrote one of the first totally integrated transportation packages. Since then I've been steadily involved in application development from design to deployment and support. I pride myself on intuitive user interface design and the total understanding of the transportation and leasing industry. I also have a keen ability to analyze and streamline processes either manual or electronic and only apply technology where it makes sense. Since becoming the CIO I've expanded my role from one of pure IT to one with more customer and prospect interaction where I discuss the benefits of using the software tools we've developed and the strategies of integration with their systems. The sales role has given me opportunities to not only help capture new business but to help solve customer problems directly.
