Growing up on a small central Wisconsin dairy farm taught me the value of teamwork and finding solutions quickly. We depended on our family and neighbors to get things done. Whenever someone needed help you would be there to lend a hand. That is the core of my goal: Making a difference in people's lives with service leadership. This has also led me to be an Innovation Leader with over 25 years experience leading diverse individuals to achieve growth solutions; both product and process related. I enjoy finding solutions to problems by working with a team to meet the group's needs and help everyone be successful in their roles. My goal is to achieve a “5 star rating” from customers and peers. I accomplish this by understanding the needs of each stakeholder to craft a solution that is elegant and effective, establishing clear metrics on how the project will succeed, obtaining the team’s buy in, and adopting a “fail quick, fail fast” approach to prevent resources from being spent on projects that will not achieve the set goals. I spearheaded a robust ECO process with material master and BOM information for SAP that supports the needs of the entire team. I established a document routing and vaulting system that reduced approval time by 80%, allowing quick access to necessary documentation companywide. Clear metrics of success for a product revamp allowed a project that launched the product with an estimated $3 million in sales revenue. Working closely with the manufacturer resulted in minimized manufacturing steps, improved product quality, 14% cost and 200% complaint reduction, resulting in a 4.6 star Amazon rating. In addition to my professional career, I’ve enjoyed serving my community as a police commissioner for over 15 years. After many years of planning and funding, we will open our new police station in the summer of 2022 I am proud to work on many different programs in my community supporting the food pantry, community meals, organizing a charity fun run and other programs. I volunteer my time and skills supporting my children in their extracurriculars, such as building sets for plays, serving food, cleaning up and tearing down after events. Family time with my wife and three teens involves baking and eating together, biking, camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and road trips to explore new and interesting places.
