Working as an independent management consultant helping companies with strategic, financial and operational issues. Sample assignment included cash flow modelling, due diligence execution, and acquisition integration.

Engaged to prepare a detailed cash flow model to help Republic, a manufacturer of cabinets for the multi-family business segment, understand its liquidity situation. Transitioned to a due diligence effort for an add-on granite counter-tops business; followed by transaction documentation and integration planning. Role elevated to short-term CFO/COO with responsibility for post-closing integration of the acquisition and oversight of financial activities.

FINGOR is a business partnership which owned and operated Alli-Gators Grill & Bar -- a $2M+ revenue full-service, single-location restaurant in Trinity, FL. Purchased assets of restaurant from bank after foreclosure and managed business until assets sold for gain.

Approved to be a 20-store franchisee in Houston, TX for Papa Murphy's Pizza. Established LLC's, investigated franchise opportunity, and gained initial capital funding commitments from family and colleagues. Developed sophisticated financial model with integrated financial statements and probability analysis to determine outside capital resources needed. Personally surveyed ~40 potential site locations. Ultimately, decided not to make investment due to poor borrowing climate for small businesses at the time.

Hired in 2003 as interim chief executive to restructure/turnaround a 65-location propane retailer operating in 8 states; took company through a complicated bankruptcy restructuring resulting in a successful Plan of Reorganization; became permanent CEO in late 2004. Company was rationalized to 50 location in 5 states while improving EBITDA during record warm winters (the driver of seasonal propane sales). Sold company to AmeriGas Propane in August 2007.
