He joined the team in New York as its seventh employee, focusing primarily on renewable energy asset M&A, corporate capital placements, project finance, and investor relations. He also manages CRC's investor network and business development efforts.Since joining CohnReznick companies in 2013, John has participated in advising on over $1 billion of transactions, totaling over 600MW of solar projects and 2.7GW of wind projects. John’s financing and M&A experience includes utility-scale & distributed solar, wind, energy storage and geothermal assets.

• Solicited and analyzed financial models for development stage power projects throughout the Caribbean for NRG Energy.• Assisted NRG Solar in developing a US Virgin Island development pipeline. Managed a 3MW solar PV array proposal with NRG and a local developer at the Henry E. Rohlsen airport on St. Croix.• Performed a market assessment and competitive analysis of Connecticut Resource Recovery Authority for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection resulting in an overhaul of the waste to energy and materials management system in Connecticut.• Performed due diligence on a portfolio of 29 solar projects across Hawaii, Vermont, and New Jersey for GlobalX Tax Equity, an investment client.• Co-Authored “The Economics of Grid Defection” with Rocky Mountain Institute and Homer Energy.

• Performed power purchase agreement review and renewable energy system analyses to determine the viability and risk profiles of renewable energy systems in US and Caribbean markets.• Assisted CRTE’s president on the request for proposals and subsequent contract negotiations to power Richard Branson’s Necker Island using a renewable energy powered microgrid system.• Wrote comprehensive business proposals for consulting services, including energy procurement, onsite power system development, and due diligence services.

• Served as Chief Executive for an organization representing 25,000 students.• Successfully advocated for several million dollars of career services improvements, free mental health visits, $250,000 of new student space, lowered student fees, and increased fee transparency.• Oversaw the allocation of over $1 million to student organizations.• Developed coalitions of students, administrators, faculty, businesses, and DC area groups to advance advocacy goals.

• Worked to develop new business contracts through Request for Proposal Processes with private and federal entities.• Participated in creative and strategy sessions for various national, state, and local campaigns on behalf of the American Beverage Association.• Interpreted public opinion data and trend research for a national anti-beverage tax campaign proposal.
