We are building a large solar plant in the Northern Cape on behalf of our client. The project will employ up to 3,000 people on a site of approximately 500 hectares. The duration of construction is 28 months. The start date is June 2016.This role was Site Based and within the EPC Main Contractor. Responsibility for the day to day management of the Administration & Finance function, including 3 direct reports, for the entire duration of the Construction period up to Commercial Operation. Project value EUR500m.Key responsibilities1. Full operation responsibility for the Administration teama. Invoice receipts, approval, processing & biweekly payment run. b. Supplier reconciliations monthly.c. Contract management of supplier and subcontractors from the payment and payment terms perspective including bond compliance.d. Monthly VAT and PAYE employee taxes to SARS (South African Revenue Services), including calculating monthly fringe benefit taxes. Annual reconciliation of taxes due vs taxes paid to SARS.e. Monthly provisions for interest and PAYE taxes.f. Monthly revaluations of foreign balances, including WIP, foreign supplier balances and bank accounts.2. Monthly reporting, including:a. Cost control report.b. Environmental spend report.c. Management accounts to shareholders for the project, P&L, BS, Aged supplier analysis, bank positions of all accounts.d. Management accounts for the social development Trust, P&L, BS. This includes the day to day management of the trust payments to suppliers and employee salaries.e. Reporting to the South African Reserve bank .3. Short term cashflow, i.e. less than 3 months. All bank account investments, i.e. 7-day, 32 day, 48hr period investments.4.
