Web Developer on a large (ish) SCRUM team developing new functionality for the CMS/CRM/etc and migrating sites to the new platform.

Drayson Technologies is a cutting edge IoT startup. I was responsible for all the company websites, including older legacy sites to be supported until end-of-life, other legacy sites which I rewrote and fit into the new architecture, and also new sites/applications for new products and collaborations and campaigns as they happened within the company.Some examples of work undertaken include the building of a new Multisite WordPress infrastructure for a new product and it's associated network of sites. One of the sites in the network is a brochure site/blog which promotes the new product but also provides a REST API consumed by other sites and mobile apps to reproduce the blog code (and therefore reuse CDN image links etc generated by WordPress) on other pages.Another site (in the same WordPress network) is a store running Woocommerce in combination with WPML and other plugins to create a multilingual, multi-currency, multinational web shop which can geolocate a user, redirect them to their localization, preset their currency for tax purposes, calculate their VAT (or similar) tax automatically and display all available elements of the site in their own language. This site provides a REST API which is consumed by the CRM to track sales. It also consumes some APIs of it's own such as a 3rd party email system to keep customers informed of the status of their order.I was also allowed some freedom in my position, as a startup company welcoming new ideas etc, I was encouraged to contribute ideas outside my role, and I worked with an original hardware prototype to improve my understanding of the hardware. I built a contraption which ran from a Raspberry PI using BLE to communicate with IoT devices, and connected to a label printer via USB, for flashing the firmware on dozens of BLE enabled IoT devices and printing labels for them at the same time. I helped with Linux networking and security as required etc.This role taught me a great deal.

Develop Sun Nation website (sunnation.co.uk) for 2015 election - high pressure environment, tight deadlines, but project still delivered at high quality within timeframe.

Rebuilding the old site using Wordpress - The Stage has multiple legacy systems which must all be integrated into one new clean Wordpress install.

Developing Wordpress blogs and CMS based sites for an extremely large international end-client. Also some management work including planning, taking meetings and conference calls, contacting clients on technical issues etc.

Primary developer on a new responsive multilingual multimedia football site for one of the world's largest media organisations.
