Assisted Manitoba Harvest by mapping their business processes and then improving them. Provided guidance to implement project planning and management, identifying and resolving issues relating to their quality management system (BRC/GMP/HACCP), and gathering basic manufacturing process data in advance of improving the manufacturing processes. Overall responsibility for BRC/GMP Food Quality Management System and HACCP program. Responsible for Chemistry/Microbiology Laboratory (3 technicians). Transport, Lift and Maritime Business UnitMentored and trained new staff in the Quality department: internal auditors and quality analysts. Perform data mining, synthesis and analysis for varying projects including: continual improvement initiatives, warranty investigations, measures of performance, management review and failure investigations. Planed and audited a wide range of both technical and administrative company processes, and reviewed, tracked and verified corrective action plans. Championed implementation of a new continual improvement program. Developed and delivered training for management, technicians and facilitators. Component Remanufacturing Services Developed and implemented a method of data collection and analysis to create and monitor measures of performance for the Calibration Laboratory and the Component Remanufacturing Services Group. As a result of introducing this method, overdue corrective actions were markedly reduced through greater awareness. Laboratory performance improved (lower turn times) due to resulting better workload management. Continued to maintain and support these measures. Lead audits to confirm system and process performance and to identify opportunities for improvement. Identified several major issues and corrective actions which were subsequently acted upon and resolved. Continued to perform audits as required. Investigated and followed up on internal customer concerns. Successfully facilitated the resolution of all issues raised. Performed Quality Assurance (QA) Review of documents that define and control company special processes and review and final approve Material Review Board exceptions.
