I am a senior member of the TripIt iOS Development team - working full time to keep those five star reviews flowing in. In addition to everyday feature development and bug fixing across both iPad and iPhone versions of the app, I have taken the lead in various architectural overhauls of this time-tested codebase. I must say - I love this job! I work with great people on a great app that customers love and I have the opportunity to stay current and explore which is exactly what I want to be doing. Plan It Chat: (In Development): A group chat app geared towards collaboratively planning events with friends. • Using Parse.com and Twilio services on the back end for authentication, data model, SMS integration, and push notifications.Time for Settlers: An app for iOS and Android providing a turn timer, dice rolling, etc. for the popular board game Settlers of Catan. Jabber for Mac: Engineering Manager for Cisco Jabber Mac and library teams. Shipped 4 releases of Jabber, a UC client including instant messaging, voice and video softphone, visual voicemail and WebEx Meeting integration. • Led all aspects of development for the Mac product.• Instituted agile methodologies and process, achieving a regular release cadence. • Coordinated with globally distributed teams (San Jose, Ireland, Seattle, China)CSF2: Engineering Manager for CSF2 cross platform library team in San Jose.• Acted as Product Owner, coordinated and provided leadership for local and overseas scrum teams. • Delivered several releases of cross platform libraries to multiple client teams.

CSF2: Technical leader for the next generation of CSF – a collection of native (C++) UC components supporting Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms. • Coordinated and provided technical and agile process leadership for multiple scrum teams. • Championed re-usable architecture for cross-platform UC components and laid the foundation for new build and test automation infrastructure to support agile development and rapid releases.• Delivered multiple releases of core cross-platform libraries (voicemail, and person manager) for use in all Cisco UC mobile and desktop clients. CSF Core Video: Technical team lead for the Client Services Framework Core team, providing the video functionality for the Cisco UC Client for Windows. • Integrated Java CSF middleware layer first with Vidyo, then with GIPS native video engines.• Implemented a video softphone test client (using SWT) to test video interop with Call Manager and Meetings services.• Led the CSF Architecture, Tools and Process Governance team.  AJAX Widgets: Desktop widgets supporting visual voicemail, placing audio calls and managing speed dial lists.• Led architecture, design and implementation of client-side dojo/JavaScript-based UI, intermediate server with REST API, interacting with multiple back end servers (LDAP, Voicemail, and Call Manager).Voice Provisioning Tool: • Led the design and development of a UC provisioning web application to unify the administration of multiple UC servers (Users, Phones, Voicemail, Meetings). • Worked closely with marketing and UE leads on prototypes and customer visits to validate requirements and generated detailed functional specifications.

• Performed technical opportunity and threat analysis and strategic recommendations on several diverse topics including VPN client software, Unified Communications, IP telephony protocols and architecture, Microsoft’s .Net initiative, and the overall XML web services market including platforms, protocols and standards. • Created and presented numerous technical strategy presentations to corporate, marketing, and engineering executives. • Produced a bi-monthly Cisco TV segment discussing technology and business including web services, telephony, IPV6, telematics, and mobility.

• Implemented IPSec components in Windows 2000 as part of the Cisco/Microsoft Windows 2000 IPSec partnership. • Designed and implemented PKI components in Cisco IOS – including SCEP (Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol) for certificate authentication, enrollment, and expiration.

• Implemented a comprehensive build/release integration system for a new Windows software product consisting of an IP stack and a suite of supporting applications.• Designed and implemented the Windows 95 user interface for several networking tools and applications including ping, trace route, whois, host lookup, FTP server and FTP client.

• Helped design an embedded firmware system/application for a new family of ANAFAZE multi-loop process controllers. Duties included developing internal and external design specifications as well as implementing the final design.• Designed a fixture to automate manufacturing testing. Project included designing the user interface software including on-line help, data acquisition hardware, and mechanical design of enclosures, cables, and modular fixture attachments.• Assisted in the complete re-design and implementation of the ANAFAZE manufacturing system.Duties included logical and physical design of a flexible assembly line, documenting product flow and transaction points, producing detailed documentation for Assembly, Test, and Quality Assurance stages, and creating a manufacturing database for collecting and analyzing statistical process control measurements.
