Clearance and litigation in the area of trademarks, copyright, and right of publicity. High points included defending writer of The Wind Done Gone against copyright claim from owners of Gone with the Wind based on fair use (SunTrust Bank v Houghton Mifflin) and defending hip hop band Outkast from right of publicity claim based on use of Rosa Parks's name.
