Organized and strictly prioritized what needed to be done to stabilize and scale systems. Clarified what the team needs to focus on to stabilize and make it the default operation.Secured management and BOD support to defer on product enhancements and to focus on stabilizing and improving legacy systems to allow the business to grow.Created and staffed the Program Management team and introduced AGILE processes (there were none) and was able to get far greater transparency into what is being worked on and the status of deliverables.Multi-site org with the main team in SF(52), and a team in Beijing(12). Was able to completely transform the strained relationship between those two teams. The Beijing team is now a respected, vital part of the resourcing and responsibility matrix. Built and released many new system components during this time, including a valuable new Data Warehouse (there was no one place to see data), replaced and vastly improved ETL processes to provide very clean data, new SDK with HTML5 support, scalable new GOLANG-based ad server technology, many enhancements and improvements to the data-pipeline to make it more accurate and stable, and many improvements to the Machine Learning models to improve business performance (14% revenue lift)Successful at stabilizing systems and gaining confidence in our systems. Business had tens of thousands of customers, and was deployed on eBay US and eBay Germany.Launched in June of 2003, eBayKeywords was a PPC service for eBay Sellers to promote their goods on eBay. The ads displayed on eBay’s Search Results pages, and are targeted to the search term the used. Sellers bid for the right to have an ad show first.eBayKeywords.com is highly integrated with eBay’s internal systems. We were the largest integrator with the eBayAPI, using millions of eBayAPI calls per day. eBayKeywords provided a very high degree of automation for eBay Sellers to use the program. EKW would automatically scan seller items, and compares eBay Search data and EKW ROI data to recommend keywords and a simple UI to buy keywords. We would also automatically populate the ads with Seller information and qualifying data (Feedback scores, Positive Feedback rating, Store & Powerseller status). -
