Previously employed as the supervisor at Anishnabeg Outreach Family Centre. John started working as a Resource and Information Specialist for Anishnabeg back in April 2014 on a one-year contract. Completing the 1-year term John applied for a full time R&I position in the Kitchener Office. John than worked 2 years in the R&I role and applied for an Employment Counsellor position November of 2016. Through his work at Anishnabeg Outreach, John had volunteered in several indigenous advisory committees and volunteered during the indigenous day celebrations at the Multicultural Festival. John has also volunteered for a grassroots pow wow committee.John has worked as Manager of Business and Partnership Development for the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples in Ottawa as well as Project Liaison Officer for a highly successful indigenous owned construction company. John got his start working for TD Canada Trust as a Customer Service Representative. John’s education is that of Computer Systems Engineering, and Computer System technician programs at Algonquin College in Ottawa. While at Algonquin College, John co-created an Indigenous Student Association and worked for the Mamidosiwin Centre as a Student Support Worker. John also possess an Early Childhood Education Certificate from Northern College
