John Taylor is a seasoned leader, strategist, and visionary thinker with over 40 years’ experience in business development, intellectual property management / licensing, game design (Online, PC and Casino), gaming compliance, engineering design, software / hardware development, team building and C-level company operations.Prior to Serqit, John held senior executive positions at Video Gaming Technologies (VGT), News Corp, Electronic Arts (EA), and GE. He is a founder of four other companies in addition to SerQit, including Kesmai—the first commercial online gaming company in the world. VGT was named on INC 500’s list of fastest growing small companies in 2005.* Oversaw the design and development of numerous popular electronic and online game titles, including “Island of Kesmai,” "Godzilla Online," "Starship Troopers," "Aliens Online," "MultiPlayer BattleTech," and “Air Warrior,” a first-of-its kind, multiplayer flight simulation game with a graphical interface. * Designed and developed the original Aries online game platform, the third generation of which powers EA’s Sims Online—and Omega, a massively multi-player (MMO) online gaming platform that is currently being used in multiple industries. John also established business strategies and oversaw technical operations for Kesmai’s “GameStorm,” a pay-for-play, web-based gaming service.
