Oversaw daily newspaper staff of one full-time reporter, one full-time designer/copy editor and several freelancers at a 9,100 circulation newspaper in a Division I college town. Responsible for planning the daily section in print and online on our three award-winning websites, one of which was for our coverage of Northern Illinois University athletics and another for our coverage of seven area high schools. Responsible for coverage of high school athletics, assist on NIU athletics, and work closely with the news and photo departments. Implemented a successful social media strategy for my department and responsible for all video production and editing on huskiewire.com and daily-chronicle.com. Work daily with Roxen Editorial Portal, Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office products.

Covered Northern Illinois University football and basketball, along with high school sports. I was named one of the top 10 sports columnists by APSE (under 40,000 circulation division) in March of 2010. Our daily section earned the same honor (under 20,000 circulation division).
