At Andor I am responsible for the testing and assembly of various specialised cameras and spectrometers. Through the testing of cameras I have developed my problem solving and fault finding skills as well as learning how to use various kinds of testing equipment and software. In the case of faulty cameras I would work alongside engineers and technicians helping with the process to repair and make adjustments to the cameras, this has greatly improved my ability to work as a member of a large team. I also train new employees and take on additional training to improve my knowledge of the products.
