Prior to earning a Master of Social Work degree, I managed and led wilderness adventure programs for Colorado-based nonprofit organizations and have since devoted many hours to understanding the physiological, psychological, environmental, and emotional factors that contribute to human development and behavior.For four years at the University of Colorado Hospital, I worked alongside hundreds of individuals and families while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, doctors, psychologists, and a variety of healthcare professionals. During this period of professional growth, I acquired my field licensure to become an LCSW. acquisition, and daily literature reviews, my personal passions held strong. In 2017, I transitioned to a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing life-changing outdoor adventures for young adults (18-39) impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions.
