Growing up, I was around sports my entire life, and I played through high school. I played hockey for eight years, baseball for fifteen years, and basketball for three years. Once I got to college I looked for a job at the collegiate level in sports. In the Spring of my Sophomore year of college I accepted a job as a student Equipment manager for the Iowa State Football team. There I have been trained in a variety of jobs. I have learned to change face masks, repair cleats, repair shoulder pads, clean helmets, and maintain a clean and functioning equipment room. I found that my biggest enjoyment of working within equipment management is the process of getting ready for the upcoming game day. The satisfaction of seeing everything run smoothly on game day. All the work put into the preparation goes away on game day. I am currently at James Madison University. Where I hope to continue the path that I've been working towards and continuing to see where this career takes me.
