Shopperseeks leverages crowdsourcing over algorithms to solve the great issue that faces all consumers: finding the exact product they want.I was the only software engineer at this early stage startup and was responsible for all aspects of development and management of our application. The technologies used were Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, ElasticSearch, and Postgres. Our application was hosted on Heroku.

I started as the Principal engineer and led a team developing our core applications with Ruby on Rails. As we grew, I began spending more time developing our internal applications as well as building out a team to manage our applications in the cloud.As a director, I led a team of exceptional software developers and created the core services of our social media management platform. Our platform interacted with Facebook and Twitter APIs. Wrote utilities that facilitated management and enabled network to interface with bank’s mainframe computer. Trained team of bank employees on using and administrating OS/2 and LAN Server.Replaced synchronous data link control-based network with private WAN, installed LANs in each branch, replaced all 3270 terminals with PCs running OS/2 and connected branch servers to IBM S/390 mainframe. Simplified access to bank products for representatives, expedited loan applications for customers and enabled first-ever email and calendaring for bank employees.
