Paramount Gold Nevada is a U.S. based precious metals exploration and development company. The Sleeper Gold Project, which includes the former producing Sleeper mine, totals 2,322 unpatented mining claims (approximately 60 square miles or 15,500 hectares).

Working for the Chief Financial Officer and Strategic Development Executive Vice President, this role developed and executed the company’s global Investor Relations Strategy. Optimized shareholder base by enhancing relationships with investors and sell-side analysts. Developed and directed global investor outreach and targeting efforts to institutional investor base. Developed a compelling investment thesis for the company while enhancing management credibility. Promoted common understanding of company valuation further shaping strategic direction. Established a data-driven framework to analyze industry trends to drive the company’s strategy. Developed investment communications strategy and materials including: press releases, conference presentations, financial reports, earning’s call scripts and Board of Director materials. Established protocols to ensure compliance with SEC disclosure policies. Organized and participated in road shows aiming to broaden the company’s shareholder base. Researched competitor ownership profiles to target institutions and expand ownership in the company.  Monitored industry developments from competitors and other macro fundamentals, keeping senior management and the Board of Directors apprised of impact to the company’s market value.

 Set strategic direction and developed policies for global internal audit function. Maintained program to address company’s compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Approved programs designed to review adherence to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  Evaluated business process controls and recommended cost savings and efficiency improvements. Prepared audit reports that confirmed effectiveness of internal controls for review by the Chief Executive Officer and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.  Developed a management team and operating model to drive clear understanding of roles and processes to drive efficiency with solid succession plans for audit staff.

 Responsible for managing over $50 million in royalty revenue from more than twenty precious metals and oil and gas royalty streams, both domestic and international. Responsible for strategic asset reviews, valuations and presentations to senior management in support of potential merger and acquisition opportunities. Integral member of Newmont Capital, the company’s merchant banking division whose objective was to earn a high rate of return on assets through asset swaps, dispositions, acquisitions and join ventures. Provided valuable investment banking services to other divisions to maximize shareholder value.

 Created the company’s cash management function including investment decisions over $150 million. Developed and maintained corporate financial models arranging $500 million in project financing. Arranged $150 million of equity capital. Optimized project cash flows through the implementation an international corporate tax structure. Established relationships with export credit agencies, multi-lateral agencies and commercial banks. Developed financial models to analyze merger and acquisition targets and JV structures. Developed all corporate budgeting and forecasting functions.

 Assisted in preparing and issuing the Company’s $55 million initial public offering. Successfully consolidated the financial statements and budgets for five international subsidiaries. Prepared and reported all annual and quarterly financial reports to the SEC and Board of Directors.

Shaw Construction is a Denver-based regional commercial builder providing construction and development services since 1962. Performed Controller responsibilities managing all finance and accounting functions of the company. Held Project Manager position earning more than $1 million by leading a diverse team to estimate, market, and manage the completion of three construction projects on schedule and under budget.

Newmont Mining Corporation is based in Denver, Colorado and is the world’s second largest producer of gold with operations in Nevada, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Ghana and Peru. After auditing Newmont Mining as a client of Arthur Andersen for four years, was offered an Internal Audit Manager position to establish the company’s Internal Audit function.
